Brew Detroit is located in the heart of Corktown, Detroit just around the block from Batch Brewing Company. Their facility was a former ball bearing plant and its currently the largest brewing plant in Detroit, since the Strohs Brewing Company shutdown in the 80s. They provide free gated parking to accommodate their guest and encourage patrons to come by for a pre-game brew or two. The food menu is BYOF, thats right BRING YOUR OWN FOOD or get it delivered - ask your bartender for menus.

On to the beer!

I ordered a flight of, The Panda 7.0%, Charlie Brune 8.4%, Claymore 7.4%, and Boblo's Summertime Wheat 4.0%. These to me would be incredible dinner or dessert beers. Strong and rich with lots of flavor across the board. The Boblo Wheat, crisp and refreshing. One beer that stood out, "The Panda" is a 7% Chocolate Peanut Butter Milk Stout, a well balanced creamy roasted peanut butter beer that was awesome. I could see myself smashing a fudge brownie and sipping on this.    

I look forward to my next trip to Brew Detroit!
