The
cheeseburger is a monster 1/2+ lb fresh sirloin patty made to your
liking, even medium mooing. And where else can you find a liverwurst
sandwich that I hear is worth the drive.

The Eastside Tavern also known as the "basement bar" is a must stop for any burger lover traveler. One of Macomb Countys most unique dining experiences located in the basement of a 100 year old farmhouse. A former blind pig with lots of history and nostalgia, with only six foot ceilings you may find yourself ducking to the bar stool. The wood panel walls are lined with signs with witty sayings and incredibly they somehow manage to pack in a band on saturday nites for live music.
But, its really all about the food!
They serve a simple menu that will soak up the tears and fill your belly right! The fried bologna sandwich comes with a nice thick piece of meat slightly browned but still juicy. The grilled steak sub is piled high with onions and mushrooms, I asked for some peppercinis to compliment mine on top, it was awesome.
And yes, there is a Beer God! This has been forever a budweiser in a can type of place but now they have New Belgium Fat Tire and Guiness Golden Ale on draft. Cheers!
